International Veggiburger™ Bar

Mix up a selection of the following dressings. Each recipe will make plenty of dressing for four burgers. Layer each bun bottom with lettuce, a hot Franklin Farms All Natural Veggiburger™, a dollop of dressing, the topping and the bun top.

The Mariachi Burger Mix 1/4 cup light sour cream; 1/4 cup drained prepared salsa; 1-1/2 tablespoons chopped ripe olives and 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro (optional).
Topping: avocado slices and tomato wedges.

The Bombay Burger Mix 1/3 cup plain yogurt; 1 medium carrot, shredded; 2 teaspoons chopped green onion and 1/2 teaspoon curry powder. Add salt, to taste. Topping: Radish slices and cilantro springs (optional).

The Roma Burger Mix 1/3 cup reduced-fat mayonnaise; 2 tablespoons chopped marinated dried tomatoes and 1 small clove garlic, pressed. Add salt to taste.
Topping: Tomato slices and basil springs (optional).

The Athena Burger Mix 1/2 cup plain yogurt; 3 tablespoons chopped kalamata or ripe olives; 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill or 1 teaspoon dried dill weed and 1 small clove garlic, pressed. Topping: Cucumber slices and dill springs (optional).

The Hula Burger Mix 1/2 cup reduced-fat mayonnaise; 1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce; 1-1/2 tablespoons sliced green onion and 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil (optional). Topping: Pineapple and red bell pepper rings.


Quick and delicious recipes...

Scrambolies Cook scrambled eggs in the usual way, but just before they are fully cooked, add one thawed and crumbled Chili-Bean Veggiburger™ for every two eggs along with some minced green onion or chives and shredded cheese.

Better Baked Potatoes Crumble four Portabella Veggiburgers™ into a skillet with a small can of tomatoes, a small can of chopped green chilies, and a clove of minced garlic; heat through. Use to top four baked potatoes. Top with grated Cheddar cheese, if desired.

Soy Nice Rice Salad Combine 3 cups cooked chilled rice with 3 crumbled Original Recipe Veggiburgers™, a dash of chili powder, half a chopped green pepper, one or two minced green onions, and some sliced black olives. Moisten with oil and vinegar or ranch dressing.

Soups’on Crumble one to two Portabella Veggiburgers™ into a serving of minestrone, vegetable or white bean soup. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.

Pizzazzed Pizza Start with a frozen cheese pizza. Crumble three or four Veggiburgers™ and arrange on top. If you like, add slices of mushrooms and sweet green peppers, or spinach leaves for color. Bake as pizza package directs.

Nutri-Nachos Arrange a layer of corn tortilla chips on a baking sheet and top with thawed and crumbled Veggiburgers™, shredded cheese and sliced pickled jalapeños. Bake at 325°F until cheese is melted. Serve with salsa.

Bring-along Breakfast Toast a bagel or English muffin. Meanwhile, heat an Original Recipe Veggiburger™ in the microwave for about one minute or until hot. Spread the bagel or muffin with grape or raspberry jam or cranberry-orange relish. Add the warmed burger and some lettuce leaves.

Far-Out Far-East Sandwich Split a small Pita bread and spread one side with Chinese hoisin sauce. Warm a Portabella Veggiburger™ in the microwave for one minute or until hot. Place on Pita bread and top with pickled ginger and basil or cilantro leaves.
